This section is designed to give an overview of the interface between Keyfax and MIS-AMS SQL ActiveH products, what each component does and how to make configuration modifications to specific customer requirements.
MIS have had Keyfax integrated for some years, using the Keyfax ActiveX control (Keyfax.ocx). The latest version of the OCX encapsulates new functionality to allow MIS-AMS SQL ActiveH products to give Keyfax control over what data it requires to run diagnostic scripts and what resulting information is to be returned. The previous integration with Keyfax required MIS-AMS users to request changes in interface functionality from both Omfax and MIS-AMS with a 'Request for Modification'. These changes needed to be scheduled for some future release and were not always available when required. Now, most changes can be performed on site by Omfax or MIS-AMS technicians with minimal effort, time and cost, via a simple configuration file. For full MIS-AMS CRM & Repairs functionality to be available the following minimum specification is required.
Keyfax Client
MIS-AMS CRM SQL ActiveH version 5.3 (or greater).
MIS-AMS Repairs SQL ActiveH version 5.3 (or greater).
The MIS-AMS SQL ActiveH Repairs and CRM applications have been designed to cater for a variety of integration requirements without the need to recode either Keyfax or the MIS-AMS SQL ActiveH applications. MIS-AMS have developed an interface with their SQL
ActiveH Repairs and CRM applications which expose their Back Office SQL Server Database through a series of structured objects which Keyfax uses via an XML configuration document to read and write relevant Keyfax data.
