Keyfax will not automatically be enabled by default when the Keyfax client is installed on a PC with MIS-AMS SQL ActiveH CRM or Repairs. The MIS SQL ActiveH database needs to be configured to allow users to use the interface. This falls into two parts:
(the main settings to allow MIS-AMS SQL ActiveH application know that Keyfax is present, and where)
(settings to allow MIS-AMS SQL ActiveH users to access Keyfax based on their role)
In addition, if Keyfax General Enquiries are to be used with the MIS-AMS SQL ActiveH CRM application, additional configuration is required to return SubAction data to the MIS-AMS SQL ActiveH CRM in order for this information to be available at a later date, and in MIS-AMS SQL ActiveH reporting. This involves setting up and binding MIS-AMS SQL ActiveH User Defined Elements (UDE) and binding them to the Task UDE Interface, see the following topics:
(adding Keyfax User Defined Elements to allow SubAction data to be passed to the MIS-AMS SQL ActiveH database)

The above links give step by step guides to the configuration required within the MIS-AMS SQL ActiveH applications. The screen captures used were taken with kind permission of MIS-AMS and their customers. Please note that at the point of writing, some of the screen captures were from installed MIS-AMS SQL ActiveH applications not completely configured, and were not running in a live environment. For this reason, a generic MIS user account was used in the examples.
