# Call Classifiers

The Call Classifiers page accessible via the KeyNect portal is the area for the desktop user (such as an office staff member or advisor) to define different call classifiers.&#x20;

### What is a call classifier

A Call Classifier defines the technical and operational properties applied to a video call or a group of calls. Properties include but are not limited to:

* Audio and video bit rate
* Video frames per second
* Whether the mobile / desktop call us muted from the outset
* And so on

Multiple classifiers can be created with settings specifically tailored for two way calls, one-way video calls or one-way audio calls.

Omfax will provide support in applying the required settings as part of the set-up process.

### Default call classifier

The default classifier will be used for all calls unless another classifier is selected when manually creating a call.

The settings for the default classifier have been optimised to ensure operational performance is maximised. &#x20;

### Creating a call classifier

1. Click “CREATE CLASSIFIER”.

2. Enter the name of the classifier and edit settings as required. Then click “CREATE CLASSIFIER.

### Editing a call classifier

This should only be carried out by an experienced Customer Admin.

1. Click the “Edit” icon.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="/files/JFHSSPVb1GQ11QimeOZq" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

2. Edit as required and then click “SAVE CLASSIFIER”.

### Duplicating a call classifier

1. Click the “Duplicate” icon for the selected classifier.

2. Enter the name of the classifier and then click “SAVE CLASSIFIER”.

### Deleting a call classifier

This should only be carried out by an experienced Customer Admin. Note that the default classifier cannot be deleted.

1. Click the “Delete” icon for the classifier to be deleted.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="/files/ecKVjSjfkC3VXtXg4uwf" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

2. Click the icon “DELETE THE CALL CLASSIFIER – I AM SURE”. This cannot be undone.

### Classifier fields explained

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="/files/DotLUFvw3uryTefZ5Ef6" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

**The Name of the Owner**

The name of the owning company for this classifier.

**The Name of the Classifier**

The name of the classifier that will be used when creating a new call to indicate that the settings that follow should be associated with that call (if this is the default classifier this field will be read-only).

**The notification email address**

The address that will be emailed a notification to indicate that there is a new one way call video resource available. If multiple call classifiers are added to a single call then all email addresses referenced will be emailed a notification of the new video resource being available.

**The “thank you” page HTML**

The HTML to display to the instigator of the one way call when they have completed recording a video and have ‘hung up’. e.g. “Thank you for your call, our appointments team will contact you shortly”.

**Get the GPS location from the mobile**

Will attempt to get the GPS location from the mobile phone. The user will be alerted to this when the call is started and they may choose to allow or block this request.

**Mobile Microphone Availability for One Way Calls**

If on, the mobile microphone is always on with no option to mute. If off, the mobile microphone is always off with no option to unmute. If in “-“ state, the microphone can be muted and unmuted by the mobile user.

**Mobile Microphone Availability for Two Way Calls**

If on, the mobile microphone is always on with no option to mute. If off, the mobile microphone is always off with no option to unmute. If in “-“ state, the microphone can be muted and unmuted by the mobile user.

**The allowed length in seconds when a One Way or Self Service**

Indicates to the system how long a one-way call should last if created with this call classifier. This presents a countdown of minutes and seconds on a one-way recorded call mobile screen showing how long the caller has to complete the call.

**Creation date (read only)**

The date and time the classifier was created. Non editable.

**The call’s map link formatter**

The formatter for the map URL used on the call search page to support the opening of a mapping system in a tab. E.g:

* Google: [https://www.google.com/maps?q={LAT},{LNG}](https://www.google.com/maps?q=%7bLAT%7d,%7bLNG%7d)
* Bing: [https://bing.com/maps?cp={LAT}\~{LNG}\&lvl-13.0\&sp=point.{LAT}-{LNG}\_The+call+came+from+here](https://bing.com/maps?cp=%7bLAT%7d~%7bLNG%7d\&lvl-13.0\&sp=point.%7bLAT%7d-%7bLNG%7d_The+call+came+from+here)

**Mobile Microphone default state for Two Way Calls**

If on, the mobile microphone is on at the outset of the call. If off, the mobile microphone is off at the outset of the call. (If ‘Mobile Microphone Availability for Two Way Calls’ is set to on or off, this setting is overridden).

**Audio Bit Rate**

The audio bit rate chosen for the call type. Higher increases the quality of the audio.

**Video Bit Rate**

The video bit rate chosen for this call type. Higher increases the quality of the video. Setting to “zero” for a one way call creates an audio only one way call. Video quality may be impacted in low bandwidth areas during calls.

**Frames Per Second (FPS)**

The number of frames per second that should be recorded. Higher increase the smoothness of the video. Video quality may be impacted in low bandwidth areas during calls.

**Audio Gain for Mobile Microphone**

The audio gain to be applied to the mobile device’s microphone. Higher increases the volume. A setting of 1 to 3 should be ample.&#x20;

**Echo Cancellation for Mobile Device**

The mobile phone will use its own hardware to attempt to stop echo/bounce back of the desktop user’s voice. This is entirely dependent upon the phone's hardware - so may work well for some and not well (or not at all) for others.

**Video Compression Chunk Lengths in Milliseconds**

As the video is compressed on the desktop (for two way calls) or the mobile (for one way calls) this setting dictates how long to make each chunk (longer can improve compression, but conversely may cause recording issues due to transmission failures; for a one-way call \[transmission is from mobile device] problems may be exacerbated in poor quality bandwidth areas).

**Video Frame Height**

The frame height for the resultant video recording (if any) as seen by the desktop and mobile user. Increasing may cause issues with one-way calls (transmission is from mobile deice) with data transmission in lower quality bandwidth areas. This setting also changes the aesthetics of the video feed during the call on both the mobile and desktop devices.

**Video Frame Width**

The frame width for the resultant video recording (if any) as seen by the desktop and mobile user. Increasing may cause issues with one-way calls (transmission is from mobile deice) with data transmission in lower quality bandwidth areas. This setting also changes the aesthetics of the video feed during the call on both the mobile and desktop devices.

**Mobile Microphone default state for One Way Calls**

Of on, the mobile microphone is on at the outset of the call. If off, the mobile microphone is off at the outset of the call. (If “Mobile Microphone Availability for One Way Calls” is set to on or off, then this setting is overridden).

**Desktop Microphone Availability for Two Way Calls**

If on, the desktop microphone is always on with no option to mute. If off, the desktop microphone is always off with no option to unmute. If “-“ is selected, the microphone can be muted and unmuted by the desktop user.

**Desktop Microphone default state for Two Way Calls**

If on, the desktop microphone is on at the outset of the call. If off, the desktop microphone is off at the outset of the call. (If “Desktop Microphone Availability for Two Way Calls” is set to on or off, then this setting is overridden).
