An overview of the navigation for the KeyNect Portal & Desktop and Mobile application.

KeyNect Portal

The KeyNect Portal provides licenced users the ability to create calls, view call history, customise their KeyNect instance and more.

Access to the various tabs will vary depending on whether the user is an Admin, Standard or Read-Only user.

Customer Admin view:

  1. Navigation tabs - A number of tabs are available and will be tailored based on the user role permissions. Example of Customer role (standard):

  1. User details - The user email, company name and role are displayed at the top of the page.

  2. Create call - Users can click the create call icon to be redirected to the create call tab.

  3. Search field - Users can search for historic calls by Keywords and selecting a date range.

  4. Search date range - Users can select a date range for their search.

  5. Search filter - Users can select whether search results include certain call types or all calls.

  6. Call history - A list of historical calls will be displayed for the selected date range along with any media files captured.

Desktop application

The desktop application is used to process the organisation’s end of the call.

  1. User details - Displays the name and telephone number of the tenant. Also displays a timer of the KeyNect call duration.

  2. Call Resources window - Displays photos/video captured during the call. Clicking the image or video will display a preview, with the option to view it in the KeyNect Portal. Users can delete items captured during the call directly from the Call Resources window.

  3. Status - Displays the current status of the call. Such as "Recording" or "Recording has ended".

  4. Video feed - The video feed from the mobile user’s device. The height and width of the feed can be edited in the Call Classifier. This will affect both the desktop and mobile feed. The default frame size has been optimised by Omfax.

  5. Video Prompt - Text prompts (pre-set or custom) can be sent to the mobile screen to aid communication between the user and tenant. These are also visible to the desktop user and captured when recording.

  6. Video Notes - The desktop user can write additional notes. These are stored against the call resources. Call notes are also stored in the “Additional information” field when using KeyNect with Keyfax.

  7. Desktop icons - The features used to perform certain functions associated with the KeyNect call.

- Mute / unmute the desktop end of the KeyNect call.

- Start/stop video recording.

- Take a photo of the mobile feed.

- Turn mobile torch on/off. The icon will be hidden if unsupported by the mobile device.

- End / hang up the KeyNect call.

Mobile application

The mobile device application used by the callee to interact with the desktop user.

KeyNect uses the back-facing camera of the mobile device. There is no option or need to switch to the front-facing camera.

Mobile icons

The features used to perform certain functions associated with the KeyNect call.

- Mute / unmute the mobile end of the KeyNect call. This will not mute the mobile phone if already on a mobile-to-mobile call.

- Privacy icon to hide/mask the mobile video feed from the desktop user. Pressing this again will re-display the video feed to the desktop user.

- End / hang up the KeyNect call.
